So about a week ago my computer (HPdv2000) froze up and died. I didn’t think too much of it until it happened again, and then a few days later it decided that it wouldn’t start up on battery power alone. Then today I was checking stuff out online and it died again. And I cannot recover it. I’ve tried everything that I can think of. I even tried booting up with Linux and trying to get things working that way and it still dies.

There is a recall out for my computer so they are going fix it all up for me. Honestly HP has been a great company to me. All of my computers and accessories are HP right now but I really don’t like the thought of being without my computer for so long as I am going to be. The comic is not going to be nearly as slick. Not that I’m some great artist, but I use my tools. I don’t have those on other machines. I don’t even know what I’ll be able to post. If anything. That’s a bit of a downer.

I think my wife is honestly going to be quite excited by the proposition that I will not have my computer though. She’s kinda a technophobe.

But this experience has solidified to me that next time I get a computer I am going to get it from PC laptops. They are this local company that has a really good warranty and the best part is, their local. I don’t need to ship my computer off to some far off place for it to be fixed.

Now I need to find a way to backup my hard drive before I ship it back and it gets wiped clean. doesn’t sound that difficult until you consider that I don’t have a working computer to back it up with. I think yesterday’s comic is pretty good though So I at least know that my computer went out with a bang.
